The mallard is one of the more adaptable species in North America. Faced with loss of wetlands and a reduction in nesting habitat, it has learned to be quite comfortable right in our backyards! Feeding in a city park, swimming around the cottage or circling into a marshland, the mallard is holding it's own in an ever changing environment.
