This cheerful inhabitant of the northern forest is a common visitor during the winter months. The chickadee can often be found in small groups, close to the protection offered by coniferous thickets. Drawn by hanging suet, their tame and social nature makes them a joyful visitor to any feeding station. Their constant calls of "chickadee" are a welcome sound in the quiet of the winter forest.
