I was watching the news on the earthquakes in Haiti and was moved beyond belief. I started painting this image of a woman. She had nothing left except what she had on. A ring symbolizing what she may have had before the quake. A purse so we could presume she still had an identity. Her torn skirt and old runners showing she had to run from her home. In the background are cracks in the wall symbolizing the quakes. When viewing this painting I wanted the viewer to want to help. I named it Saving Grace. It is framed in a beautiful hand crafted frame that is 3" wide. Below you will see how this painting will look in a livingroom setting.
