The white-tailed deer is presently experiencing a huge growth in population in Canada. Benefiting from mild winters and plenty of food, it is not surprising to see healthy does with two or sometimes three spotted fawns tagging along! The bucks especially the bigger ones, tend to be cautious, staying camouflaged in cover and moving after nightfall. If you are at the right place at the right time and you can stay quiet, you may get a look at a mature buck sporting eight points or more. If you do you will soon realize that a mature, majestic white-tailed deer in full antler is truly one of Canada's spectacular sights!
